We were so excited to go to the S.M.A.R.T. room today! Today we learned about the alligator crawl and the balance beam and got to practice both. We also learned about the "trouble light" and how it will help our eyes to focus!
Math:
Today we reviewed our 2 D shapes: circle, square, triangle, rectangle, rhombus, and hexagon.
Reading/Phonics:
Today we learned the letter Aa. We read a poem and circled all the a's we could find. We read a story called The Adventures of Abby Alligator.
Writing:
The next few weeks we will be learning and working on each child's name. Today we learned about Gavin and Jill's names. We counted how many letters and syllables and talked about each letter in their names. We also drew a picture of these friends and created a "special friends" book for them.
Library:
Today was our first day of library! We met Mrs. Kath and she read us a story about Mr. Wiggles. We talked about how to take care of our library books. We ask that you keep the books in their backpacks to keep them safe. Next week we will get to check out our first book!!
