First weeks of school

What a fabulous first week (and a couple days)  we have had so far!  We have been busy learning how to be at school.  We use the words expected and unexpected as we describe rules for different parts of the school.

How to Fill a Bucket book:  We read this story on Monday about how everyone carries and invisible bucket and when our bucket is full we feel good and happy.  When our bucket is empty we feel sad.  We can fill buckets by saying and doing nice things for others.  Your child will have the opportunity to take home the Bucket book one night.  Please read the book with your family and help your child fill out the sheet about how they plan on filling buckets.  Watch for it in your child's backpack.

Super Sharer Backpack:  We started sending this home this week.  Keep an eye out for it.  Have your child choose something to share with the class and put it in the backpack.  Please help your child fill out the clues on the sheet and return the next day if possible.

Math:
We will be starting our Unit 1 math on Wednesday, September 12th.  Our first lessons will be same and different.  We will then move into 2D and 3D shape review.  This week we have been exploring some of our "math tools"  that we will use to help us with our learning.
