A Peek at the Week...

Happy Birthday to...Carter and Canyon!

Math: This week in math we worked on greater than, less than and equal to. We practiced working with a partner using cards.  This would be a great game to play at home.  We started with one card but then moved to 2 cards.  We practiced using our addition skills and now our greater than and less than skills.

Phonics/Language Arts:  This week we worked on the blends, sk, sp, sm, and sn.

Reading:  We worked on recognizing cause and effect in posters and stories.  We look for signal words such as the word SO.  We are getting really good at this!

Handwriting:  letters i, j, and k

Other:  We earned a root beer float party

Guest Readers and Storybook Reader..

Reading to the Preschoolers... The next 3 Fridays we will go down and read to the preschoolers.  We were very excited about this.  Some of us even had siblings to read to.  Many of us remember being read to by last year's kindergartners. :)
