Homecoming Week Reminders

This week is homecoming and we get to celebrate by sharing in some of the dress up days.  Our days are as follows:

Monday: Pajama Day

Wednesday: College logo wear/ or Wellness Wednesday (wear workout clothes)

Friday: School Spirit day, wear Irish wear or green and black

ABC Chart

This is our ABC chart. We chant this every day, it sounds like this: A /a/ apple, B /b/ ball, etc, ask your child to show you.

Bus Safety Week

Today we practiced what we learned about Bus Safety. We enjoyed a puppet show that taught us about all the rules to stay safe on the school bus. Here are a few photos of our experience.

Classroom Volunteers

I am so thrilled to have so many parents interested in volunteering this year in my classroom!! I was trying to figure out the best way to keep track of parents coming in so I set up an account with Volunteer spot. This is an online calendar that you can check to see the days I need volunteers. As of now, I have every day open except for Fridays. Everyday there is room for 2 volunteers to work in the classroom. I know many of you were interested in coming in once a week/twice a month/ or monthly. Please sign up for the days you want/plan to come in. In the comment box please write the times you plan on being there. If you have questions or need help getting started please let me know. If you would like me to plug you in on the calendar I would need your email to set you up. Then, you will receive a confirmation email that you WILL NEED to follow up on, it's just pressing a button. I have high hopes for this way of organizing volunteers. If you look to the right of this post you will see a button (link) to sign up. Thanks so much!!!!

Welcome to Kindergarten...a few reminders

Welcome to Kindergarten!
We have had a great time getting to know each other these last two weeks.  Here are a few reminders that will help make the year successful!

• Please remember to check your child's VIP notebook and Roundtrip folder EVERY night if possible.  Please return any papers on the BRING RIGHT BACK side.
• Please discuss the lunch choices with your child so they know their choice when they get to school. 
• Please remove papers, sign and return Wednesday Envelopes on Thursday.
• Please keep an extra set of clothes in your child's locker in case of spills and/or accidents.
• We will be celebrating your child's birthday at school, if they have a summer birthday we will celebrate their "half birthday", I will send home info about that when it gets closer.  You may bring a store-bought treat to share with 18 students.  
• Please remember to call the office if your child will be absent, they will contact me.
• If your child goes to Kidville and they will not be going one day, please contact myself AND notify Kidville.
